ITINERARY
Morning Tour
5:30 AM: Early pick-up from your hotel in Siem Reap with an avian specialist guide. Depart for Koh Ker, a hotspot for forest birds. The journey takes about 2 hours.
7:30 AM: Arrive at Koh Ker and start birdwatching in the area surrounding the ancient temple complex. Look for species such as:
-White-rumped Falcon.
-Black-headed Woodpecker.
-Indochinese Bush Lark.
-Green Bee-eater.
-Take time to explore the iconic Prasat Thom pyramid and other smaller temples while spotting birds along the trails.
Midday
11:30 AM: Drive to a nearby local restaurant for lunch (simple Cambodian dishes).
Afternoon
12:30 PM: Head to Beng Mealea Temple, a jungle temple surrounded by prime birding habitats. Spend time birdwatching and exploring the temple ruins. Look out for:
-Asian Barred Owlet.
-Greater Flameback.
-Black-naped Monarch.
-Tickell’s Blue Flycatcher.
3:00 PM: Continue birding in the nearby wooded areas and rice fields around Beng Mealea, which host a variety of open-country birds such as:

4:00 PM: Start the return journey to Siem Reap.
