Ways You Can Support CAPE

CAPE (Child Aid Program for Education) is a non-profit project managed by the Angkor Tour Guide Team, dedicated to ensuring every child has access to quality education. We collaborate with local schools to provide essential resources like supplies, uniforms, and meals, aiming to create a brighter future for Cambodia’s children.

Here’s how you can contribute:

• Donate: Your financial support helps us meet the children’s needs and sustain long-term educational programs and supplies.
• Volunteer: Spend a week or more teaching English or assisting with various activities. Your time and effort can make a significant difference.
• Support a Local English Teacher: Sponsor a teacher’s monthly salary to ensure consistent and quality English instruction.
• Provide Healthcare: Sponsor health vaccinations or hire a local doctor for a day.
• Purchase School Materials: Buy notebooks, pencils, colored pencils, pens, backpacks, and other essential supplies.
• Contribute School Uniforms : Donating uniforms helps families and ensures children have the proper attire for school.
• Support Physical Education: Donate sports equipment such as soccer balls and volleyballs to create gym programs.
• Buy Supplies in Bulk: Purchase food, snacks, or clean drinking water for the schools.

  A tour with us begins with a visit to the local wholesaler’s market to select donation items, followed by a journey to schools on the outskirts of Siem Reap. There, you can meet the children, interact with their teachers, and experience the vibrant energy of the classrooms.

A tour like this begins with a visit to the local wholesaler’s market, where you can select items you’d like to donate from hundreds of shops (notebooks can be purchased for as little as 10 cents, packs of colored pencils for less than 25 cents). We then journey to the village on the outskirts of Siem Reap to visit schools where you can meet the children, hear from their teachers, and experience the lively energy of classrooms filled with eager students.

When funds permit, we offer vital support to families in underdeveloped areas, including:

• Providing rice, sauces, and essential items like mosquito nets and cooking utensils.
• Building and renovating homes to ensure safe living conditions.
• Constructing toilets, water wells, and improving water filters to prevent disease.
